Custodian Hydrant Lock
The unique CUSTODIAN® HYDRANT LOCK is custom-made to fit your hydrant. It attaches easily - directly on the operating nut - without any disassembly regardless of make, model or style. The free-spinning, armored housing completely protects the hydrant's operating nut, and only authorized personnel with the specially designed magnetic key wrench can lift the activator lock to open the hydrant. (Ordinary magnet devices have no effect on activation).
Ordinary "protective collars" or "mechanical devices" CANNOT dissuade a determined vandal. CUSTODIAN® will not surrender to sledgehammers, hacksaws, blowtorches or ingenious homemade tools.

Heavy Duty Custodian®
Our Heavy Duty Custodian® is the ultimate in hydrant security. The operation is similar to the regular Custodian® but in an oversize configuration with thicker walls for instances that require increased protection.
As in the standard Custodian®, the free-spinning armored housing completely protects the hydrant's operating nut and only personnel with the magnetic key wrench can open the hydrant.
The special magnetic key wrench is designed to fit the larger dimensions of the lock.

Security Cap
Stop vandals and water thieves cold with the remarkable HYDRA-SHIELD® SECURITY CAP ... the ONLY hydrant cap that vandals and thieves can't remove or destroy.
The HYDRA-SHIELDŽ SECURITY CAP is forged from high strength alloy steel, machined, and then heat-treated and quenched to a 58-62 Rockwell "C" hardness. It is virtually impossible to crack or cut and impenetrable to drills. Because there are no opposing faces, no ordinary wrench can grip it. Even if a water thief uses a large pipe wrench, strap wrench or band wrench, only the slip ring will turn.
The only way to remove the HYDRA-SHIELD® SECURITY CAP is with a special patented mating wrench. The same mating wrench fits all cap sizes and is available with a built-in socket for your individual hydrant nut.
V-Lock
The V-Lock (valve lock) device limits access to in-ground valves in your water distribution system. The device is designed to fit on the 2" operating nut on the valve, and remains in place on the valve until it is removed to gain access with a valve wrench.
To install or remove the device, a special wrench attached to a 4ft.-8ft. adjustable pole, is the only means of accessing the V-Lock device. Once installed over the valve, it blocks access to the valve operating nut with a standard t-handle wrench.

Plug Locks
These unique PLUG LOCKS fit angle valves and curb stops in .75", 1" and 1.25" sizes so you can effectively stop unauthorized access to gas or water resources when it becomes necessary to remove a meter.
PLUG LOCKS are constructed of stainless steel to prevent rusting and corrosion.
Using the special wrench shown, simply thread in the PLUG LOCK until it recesses. This eliminates any protruding surface to attack. The bore of the plug is of a special shape so that the PLUG LOCK can only be removed with the wrench.
Dome Lock
The Dome Lock is designed to provide a cost effective means to secure your hydrant system. It attaches directly to the hydrant operating nut and the free-spinning dome prevents access to the hydrant operating nut. Due to the design of the Dome Lock, it can be used on almost all hydrant models.
The special security wrench fits the security plug in the dome and is used in the installation and removal of the dome.
After the dome is removed, a 1.5" pentagon operating nut on the centerpost is used to open and close the hydrant. The fire department will still use their standard hydrant wrench for this.
When you need security, but your budget is tight, remember the Dome Lock!
